At the last board meeting the officers voted to drop from the mailing list any life member that has not shot an OSSA event within the last three years. Please note that all life members still remain an OSSA life member, the only thing that changes is that they will not receive OSSA mailings unless they request them. Life members that this applies to will be so notified in the next regular OSSA mailing. The current life membership mailing goes back many years and contains the names of many shooters who have given up the sport and or moved out of state.

The results of the ballot sent out in mid November regarding the formation of a new Zone 10 came in at 88% in favor of the new zone. OSSA President Buddy Wright has written a letter to NSSA advising them of the vote and requesting the subject be brought up a the next executive meeting. Based on the overwhelming strong support to form a new zone, the OSSA officers are working with Washington, Idaho and Montana to move ahead on this. Washington, Idaho and Montana also voted overwhelmingly to split from zone 7 and work on a new zone.

New officers were elected at the OSSA general meeting on July 4, 2008. Their term began on November 1, 2008. Your new officers are:

Vice-President: Patrick Carroll
Secretary/Treasurer: Jim Danielson
